Nothing's Wasted began as an exploration to create a body of work centered around the Tate Modern—specifically, the Tanks, which immediately appealed to me. The title, "Nothing's Wasted," was chosen randomly from a line in "I Saw You" by Fred Again, capturing the spirit of renewal and repurposing that drives this series.
The Tanks, once vast underground chambers storing oil for turbine generators, were originally designed as functional spaces—chosen over coal for being less polluting and easier to manage.
This project reflects how, even in their latest iteration, The Tanks continue to serve as conduits for the flow of ideas and people, embodying their original purpose in new and dynamic ways.
